Unbelievable what people on eBay will bid on

I only had one and that is also my only one negative feedback. It also was on a very rare and high dollar car item such as this one. I forgot to require that a deposit payment be made by PayPal within 3 days. This usually filters out the bad bidders quickly enough to hold onto the serious ones further down the line. If too much time passes then you run the risk of loosing the others.

The Postal Money order arrived today and there was no money added to the amount for the shipping and insurance that amounts to about $20.00. I e mailed the buyer and he claims that I didn't mention that in my e mail to him. I had sent him a eBay invoice, but of course, he doesn't know anything about that. His last e mail it appears that he expects me to ship and insure it at my expense. I guess that this is going to be one of those problem buyers that gives you negative feedback no matter what happens in the end. I believe that he is having buyers remorse and is looking for a way out. I am not about to eat the shipping, since the auction clearly states the shipping is the buyers responsibility and there is a shipping calculator in the auction page. The more money involved, the more aggravation that you get! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Stay tuned for the next chapter. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Possibly you could use Ebay's special procedure to formally offer and sell it it to #2 bidder.

If ebay has that procedure set up properly then you would become subject to #2's feedback and safe from this uncooperative #1 'winner' and his threat of negative feedback. You might want to read the details of that procedure to verify that the feedback rights will transfer as I described here.

Junkman.......I know for me it's often times easier to come up with $20 than $660.............I had a friend no sale a restored older motorcycle because he and the buyer were $50 apart and pride got in the way.........He lost a $2000 sale because his ego wouldn't let him take $1950.........Enough said.........He could have been spending the $1950 instead of having NOTHING and crying over the other $50. Ship the fire ext., and have fun spending the $660.( Leave a negative Ebay feedback for Mr. Chiseler)...........Life is short..............Just my .02..........Now all you're out is $19.98..................Tom
