It's sad that people expect you to make that decision for them.Yep, some don't make the cut.
Years ago I took a shortcut on a seldom used road to visit friends. It was a cold evening few weeks after Christmas when I spied a kitten in the middle of the road, as if it hadn't moved since somebody opened their door and dumped it off. I took it to a nearby farm, explained the situation and why I couldn't care for it, and they agreed to take it in.
I hunt, fish, and trap; raise chickens, etc to eat; I have no qualms about humanely killing an animal. Yet if I caught somebody dumping an animal to die in the January cold; I would be hard pressed not to take them out on a backroad and make them walk back to town in their bare feet.
If that makes me a bad person then I don't want to be a good person.
