Universal Quick Attach Bucket Dropped on Both Feet

Nothing against the european design but this SSQA is not a problematic design! It is on millions of pieces of equipment and problems are very rare. If kept greased and operated with common sense (use a piece of pipe as a longer handle) problems are almost non existent.
"Problems are very rare" Far from it actually.

Being part of various forums and groups, it's almost a daily occurrence that someone posts about their twisted quick attach on their tractor because one side popped out. And this is doesn't even consider all the other people that don't post about it nor all the other equipment that uses the same system.

If it wasn't a problematic design, there wouldn't be all of those issues, or even the need to carry a pipe or hammer for when the thing just decides to not work.

Agree!
The only problems I have had with the SSQA system is with poorly made aftermarket SSQA plates that were sloppy and needed to be corrected before use.
The limit of the SSQA design seems to end at the larger skid steers. Once you get into larger lift capacity (6,000 lbs) manufactures go to different designs.

The JDQA gets lots of hate, why I do not know. You just lift out two clips while standing behind and to the side of the bucket, put the bucket down and back out. Attaching the bucket is just the reverse. No need for cheater pipes or hammers, a five year old could do it.

The reason for malfunction is a nick or bent bucket.
The bucket gets a dent and that keeps the shoe from lying flat up against the bucket. That makes the pin tight.
Usually, you can hammer or grind the dent flat, and it will work fine again. When you hammer on the beveled end of the pin that also creates a sticking point.
The main issue I see is dented bucket keeping the shoe from laying perfectly flat against the back of the bucket It's easy to overlook.
I thought about welding a plate to the inside of the bucket that opposes where the shoe lays flat so it doesn't dent there. It wouldn't have to be very big.
Any designe that gets abuse will eventually have problems.
Take a good look at why its sticking before or after needing to use a hammer!
Sometimes its mud and rocks jammed in there.

The 'hate' is that JD goes against the standard so you are more likely to buy their attachments.

Some mfgs either don't offer the JD or its an upcharge.

I'm not familiar with the JD design. I thought they all adopted the SSQA
I also see the cheap online adapters that look like junk flimsy junk

The QR on my NH bucket became very stiff to operate over time. Upon closer examination I found grease fittings to lubricate the pins. That and a little spray lube, what a difference! I did have my pallet forks come close to falling off once so I can understand the danger!

I bought a JD5055e back in 2011. They gave me a choice of SSQA or the JD system. I actually liked the JD system better, but since I already owned SSQA attachments I stuck with SSQA.

Quick attachments catch a lot of dirt and grit. Grease and some TLC goes a long way.

This could happen to many of us. The ears on my QA are out of alignment, I'm not sure how I did that. Yesterday I put the bucket on and had to push against a tree before I could lock it in place.
