I picked up an old homemade log splitter the other day. The guy i bought it from dint know much about it. It has a hydraulic pump that has been modified to run on a PTO. I would like to rebuild the hydraulic pump, but i cannot figure our the brand, or model. This pump has a logo on it that i have never seen before. If anyone knows this overlapping v logo, please let me know what it is. and I'm pretty sure it is not Volkswagen...

You should price out a new one. Some times these things just arnt worth rebuilding. You could go with a real dual stage log splitter pump too.

If it is a gear pump I wouldn't rebuild it without a test stand to run it in on as they tend to generate some metal swarf when first run.

That looks to be a gear pump to me. Usualy those things get shaft wear then the gear grinds the housing.
Why do you want to rebuild it?
