kubota L3010
Guys I have a Kubota L-3010. It came with a FEL and a bush hog. There is an "under belly center PTO" which I have no impliments or need for. I just discovered a KNOB under my seat that I PRESUME deals with this center PTO..... Could someone verify WHAT this knob is for.....
Thanks

the upper knob in picture appears to be to adjust seat tension for smoother ride. The lower know in picture appears to be for the 3 point hitch and I am assuming for draft control of for lowering speed. Does not appear to be the correct hieroglyphics for pto operation.

Raysright... it appears to be the control knob for the 3 point hitch- it controls the descent speed, and will lock the hitch arms in whatever position, to keep them from bleeding down. No manual??? Need to find one, I'd think.

Correct. Changes how fast your 3pt goes down & can somewhat lock it in place. Not necessarily draft control related. Most if not all tractors have this, but not all have draft control.

The bottom one,....
think of it as a water tap, if it's fully closed, your 3 point hitch arms will not lower.
Open the tap lightly and they will slowly drop with the implement,
the more you open the tap, the fast it will drop to the ground.

And when you accidentally "close the tap" with your boot, you can then scratch your head and wonder why your 3pt won't go down at all. Been there, done that.:)

Thank you so much guys......I knew that you guys would know the answers. This leads to another question......with weight on the 3 pt it will /does drop FAST. When it is unloaded.....to lower for an connection it goes down fairly slowly. IF I reduce the loaded drop then it seems that it will drop REALLY slow when unloaded. Sound about right?
Thanks again.

A 3pt hitch has no down pressure. It can only lift. Therefore how fast it drops is completely dependant on the weight on the hitch which determines how hard oil is forced through the variable sized orfice controlled by that valve.

Just adjust the valve for each load you put on the 3pt. I have to adjust mine all the time when going from my light rear blade to the heavy ballast weight. That is what it is there for to adjust as needed.

We have an '86 L2850, and I dont think that knob has been moved since 1987. I tried adjusting it a few weeks ago... froze up like a snowman at the north pole. I'll be dealing with that when in comes in for rear axle seals this winter.

As a kid growing up on our ol MF 135, I dont recall ever adjusting it, other than dad showing me what it did... just found a 'happy medium' and left it there. But the lower 3ph arms dropped quick enough when empty... double the size of the ones on my new tractor.
