Those are the largest yellow jackets I've ever seen. I don't think they are hornets.

A better tool for that job would be a shop vac full of wasp and hornet spray.

He needed one of those propane weed burners for the flying ones.
He sure is casual about being in with them. One tear in the bunny suit or glove coming off and he will die!
I felt every yellow jacket sting (at least a couple dozen) that I have gotten over the years watching that. Flash backs!

I saw it on TV. Actually - this fellow seemed WAY over confident - or just a bit off his rock. It became very obvious that this rapidly developed into a situation far bigger than first anticipated. This may seem to be a hazardous job - but who has to clean up the guys Bunny suit...............

I had them build a nest up in the insulation of a mobile home we had back in the 80s. First sign was one stung me on the back of my leg while sitting on the toilet. At the time there was a guy local that would collect ground nests to sell for making anti venom. He wouldn't come for the house nest but said he would remove it if I found him a ground nest. Luckily my neighbor got into a nest of them while building his fence so I had the guy come out and get that and get those suckers out of my home. He raked out 3 or 4 grocery sacks full from under my house.
