Can anyone tell me how to unscrew this fitting from my Kubota BX1800? The hose blew out and I bought a new one, but am unsure what it righty and lefty on this fitting. Don't want to destroy it by forcing it the wrong way. Thanks!

If the hose is off the machine, what I would do is clamp the small fitting in a vice with the coupler facing up and get on it with a deep 6 point socket.

On closer look, a socket probably won't work as the coupler comes apart, so an open end wrench will be needed. There should be enough threads showing to verify direction, but it's rare to have a left hand thread on non-flammable gas applications.

Based on the picture you posted, the thread slants from left to right in the photo. This would indicate a standard thread, thus unscrewing counter-clockwise.

I'm confused about that/how the coupler comes apart, that's what's got me stumped. Do I wrench the hose clamp vs the thinner bolt or vs the larger nipple?

That is: three places to put a wrench, which two do I use?

You can see a seam where the large hex part (guessing it would be a 7/8") meets the section that has flats for a wrench on it. There is probably a check valve or something in there. You could probably take it apart without hurting anything, but it shouldn't be necessary. I always put the smaller fitting in the vice because it's more apt to round off with a wrench and a vice can apply a lot more pressure without distorting it.

Any two adjacent hex's to get the fitting you need.

The large coupler hex looks like it has a "reducer" or possibly a "thread adaptor" in the form of the narrow hex. I doubt it's a check valve but ....:confused3:

The goldy coloured fitting on the hose is already partially 'rounded' so, yes, as suggested above, hold that in a vice for stability. That looks to have a Pipe Thread so when you install the coupler on the new hose don't try and overtighten it right to the end of the threads.

Super, thanks to all. I did get it apart though I was still rounding the brass fitting despite the vise!
