I had been clearing brush on a fairly steep slope for several hours. Decided to take one more pass pushing brush down the slope with my FEL. Reached the bottom without any unusual problems. But then started to back up and no go. I was stuck. Wasn't my first time so went through the usual procedures, i.e. four wheel drive, lock rear differential, lift front tires place rocks under, etc.,etc. Still no go.
About now was beginning to think I was really stuck. Do I need to get towed? Turned off the engine and tiredly sat down. About then decided to look under the mid portion of the tractor. To my surprise, I was high centered on a freshly bent 4" tree limb. As luck would have it, I had my chain saw in a utility bucket hanging on a U bolt on the ROPS. Sawed off the limb. Started up the tractor and backed out with ease.
Can thank the chain saw and my thick skid plate from the embarassment of being towed!
