The restrictor valves will definitely help. The flow rate unrestricted is much too high for fine control for most implements. The cable linkage on a Branson definitely takes some of the feel out of the controls. With time you get better, but they still lack feel. After a year you might re-read this post and wonder what you were talking about

If your Branson is like mine you will have somewhat different controls for each set of remote feeds. One has a "float" position and the other does not. On mine, for reasons I don't understand, the remote with the float position doesn't have nearly the feel as the one without float. I use the one without float almost always. Also the one with float will lock in either in the forward or back position and when it does it uses all the hydraulic flow and the three point will fall to it's lowest position. The first couple times that happened I was sure my hydraulic system had failed.
This is all just part of learning the personality of your tractor and becomes a non-issue once you do.
