Eddie: Thanks for your input. I do believe these tractors built by Iseki are tuff, but the ones that I'm am considering in my price range are nearing 25 years old. Did it take you long to find and get the gasket? I have a lead on a deere 670 I am going to go look at this weekend I posted over on the deere forum looking for info on it, can't find much info around the internet or really even here at TBN. So I am assuming it's not a common tractor and same deal probably no parts for it. It's kind of begining to look like I will have to settle for a gas 2WD either a Cub Cadet or maybe a Power king?

1*You may be correct with your concerns of the older Iseki's parts availability and price.
I just purchased a TU 1700 $3300that I found to have a bad head gasket. I found the
gasket ($154), and
someone to install ($500)
--------------------------------------
Total______________________$3954. No warranty

don't know how much of a good deal I got ($3300 for tractor and finish mower) or going to get down the road.:(
1*I missed out on getting a 1998 Bolens Iseki.
Glad I did cause latter I found out about the parts issues.
Shopped around a bit more and Came up with:
$3500.00 New Left over 2005 CC GT 2554.
$0.00 54'' deck
$100.00 AG tires
$650.00 Front blade
$800.00 tiller
Total -- $5050.00 warranty.
normally it would have cost $7450.00 to get something like this.

LBrown: I've been over on the Deere forum with those guys, if I can't find a 4X4 desil tractor. I will definitly look closer at the 2WD cubs.

I have a Bolens G174(1988) that I bought used, it has about 370 Hrs on it and has a loader. I have purchased a 5ft rear blade. It has worked the last 12 winters without fail and can handle almost any kind of a task. The FWD is a feature you will find can get you in and out of places a 2WD cannot. Moved it to Maine this year for work on my place there and I can't say enough good things about it. Sure parts can be a problem, but if you look at some of the posts in the JD site you can see problems there also. Just check out the 2210/2305 snowblower problems I know I have one of those. Good luck in making your choise.
