Ok, just went to dealership to get my "update". All it is, is a brochure that tells the tech that the right side bracket that holds the steering cylinder on serial #'s
MFGC2600 from first to JVC93222
MFGC2610 " " " JVC93224
MFGC2400 " " " JVC03213
MFGC2410 " " " JVC03221
"may" be installed backwards. All they want you to do is remove the right bracket (if backwards) and reinstall it. How they explain this is that the bottom of the bracket, look and make sure that the "rounded edge" is towards the center of the tractor, and the "square edge" towards the outside of the tractor. And then check the torque of the bolts on BOTH brackets to 33.2-42.7 ft-lbs. Simple as that.;)

In addition to the brochure, there is also "countermeasure of hose/radiator/lower.
Which target the same machines. Looks like the lower hose rubs on some kind of control lever on the left side of the machine and can fail from a rub-thru. Don't have my machine here to look at, but will be picking up in the morning from my mothers house and update with pics when able. But all in all, it is a rather simple fix, looks like you may have to loosen the left side gray cover to reach in to pull the hose away from the control lever and fasten to the cover stay with a zip-tie that is routed through a clear piece of hose to prevent chafing on the rad hose from the zip-tie. Again I will post pics when I do all of this. By the way, is says to replace the hose if there is any signs of wear on the hose.

Well thanks for the reply Wacky.I do know that it makes a difference as to how the brackets are installed. If one bracket is put on different then the other one then the cylinder will not sit level??At least thats the way it is on my GC 2300. If you put the brackets on one way the cylinder will sit lower and if there put on the other way the cylinder will sit higher. So you have to watch out for that.Make sure the cylinder sits level when you change the bracket around.Larry

Yes that is what they are saying. From what I can remember (being my tractor is not here right now) I think mine IS installed the correct way, I never noticed it sitting one side higher than the other.

Ok just picked up my tractor and the right mount is backwards and my lower radiator hose is rubbing my pump control lever, to the point where it is almost wore through. I will have to get a replacement hose Monday, hopefully they have one in stock. This is going to be covered under warranty. I will do the work myself because it is simple and I don't mind. (and I know it will be done right!);)

Anyone have a pic of the brackets they are referring to?

Looking at mine both sides of the brackets look the same. I can't see a difference in the outside or inside of the bracket ? Are the pic's posted a before or after shot , or correct or not ??

Those pics are after the correction. If you look at your machine from the front, you will notice that the left side of the cylinder looks slightly down from the right, if it needs taken off an turned over.

My steering brackets are OK, but I have the lower radiator hose run issue. I have about 135hrs. Here is a pic of the damaged hose and a pic of the tieback job I did with the white zip tie. This hose will need replacement and the zip tie is temporary until the correct update can be done.

Actually, that IS the update. They zip-tie the hose like you did, but they run the zip-tie through a clear tube. I guess to keep the tie from rubbing through the hose??
