After looking all over Internet for good pricing for R4 tires an rims to fit my 2320, I talked to a very helpful JD Dealer in Vermont. This guy named Scotty I believe explained to me what I was looking for could not be found in JD-parts that it was sold in bundle numbers thru the JD salesmen who sell you a tractor, seems their parts look-up is different than regular JD parts. Anyway cost was not so bad at John Deere after comparing, the rear wheel package #LVB24803 is 16.5x9.75 rims-2 pcs & R4 12-16.5 TIRE-2 pcs cost $740.00, front wheel package #LVB24804 is 12X7 rims-2 pcs & R4 23 X 8.50-12 TIRE-2 pcs cost $420.00 total $1160.00. :thumbsup:

After being quoted a price of $1160.00 plus 45.71 for a total of $1205.71 by my local dealer Meade Tractor Greenville, Tennessee, when I went to pick these tires & rims up the price had jumped to $1261.00. I brought this up to the parts manager Brenda Tyree but she said that was the cost, oh well live and learn, I just wish people were honest and not so darn crooked all the time. Just had to rant somewhere guys

I bought my JD 2320 from Wright Equipment Co. in June, 2009. Since then, Meade has become the new owner of Wright Equipment with four locations in upper East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Wright Equipment would not have pulled this kind of stunt on a customer . . . they tried to do the 'Wright' thng.
I am disappointed that Meade did not meet their quote. Makes me wonder about doing business with them in the future.
Did you consider just walking out and going elsewhere for your tires and rims? I think I would have done just that, even if the price elsewhere was higher. There's a matter of principle involved here!

I certainly did consider that and checked price's but shipping was going to run much higher, held my nose and paid, but will be checking James River Equipment in the future. By the way if you need Rim Guard for your tires it's at Miller Tires on new Elizabethton hwy which starts in Bluff City, purchased my tractor at Meade in Bluff City salesman told me the Rim Guard was at tire store in Bristol, Tn go figure

I'm beginning to wonder about Meade . . .
And I did get my Rimguard at Miller Tires about a week after I picked up the tractor. They came to my house to install the Rimguard. Did a nice workmanlike job and the price was reasonable. :thumbsup:
