Well, I think I found the culprit. As you might know I run custom blades. i had new ones made recently, and from a different source. I just realized that they look different. Couldn't figure out why. Turns out it is the angle of the cut of the blade. These guys did it at a 45 (1/2" steel) the previous and factory look to be 60 to 70 degree cuts. I am pretty sure this is what is causing the constant bogging of the mower.
I will get through this season, and deepening the pockets but order new blades this fall, including greater rake on the blade cut and hardened steel (the soft steel blades bend so easily).
