Hi Guys.... and thanks so much for wishing me a speedy recovery.....I came home from the hospital yesterday Mon 24th 2011...I was so glad to get back home.....they kept me longer as I had compilcation after complication....first 24 hrs after surgery I had the full force of pain from all the tuggin' and pullin' plus cuttin' 36" of my large bowel (right side) and realignin it to it's new position....they fed me morfine through my spine.....which for me didn't work at all.....so believe me I suffered for many hours after....until they changed my pain med over to regular iv....took me all of 7 days to get the pain down to a 5 out of 10....."wow"....I'm so glad it's done and over with.....

I don't wish scare anybody.....who must face an operation as I had......but then I'm just a little guy that now weighs 133 lbs....new attached bowel didn't start to work till about the 8th day after the OP....the staples are all out and the insision is a long one....I'm learning how to eat all over again(stomach shrunk)....the guy in the next bed had the bag....and the hospital food is not up to par so between this and the smell....I was constantly throwin' up bile....


they had to feed me through the iv....they did find a lump on the damaged colon....but it came back non cancerous.....I only wish I could have told you guys everything went just fine.... but it didn't and I like to be honest....I was all swelled up with water as well....I was a mess......anyhow guys....just wanted to let u all know I'm okay now and feelin' better than ever....no more excessive gas or gas pains no more constapation problems like before the OP...I do believe I can throw away my laxitives.....as always..... take care......Ampa <>

Like Bird, I'm so sorry you had to go through all that suffering, but I'm so glad to hear you are on the mend and the downside of all that mess. God bless you! I was sure beginning to worry when we didn't hear from you. Here's to your continued improving health.:drink:
