Switching out the snowblower on uneven ground will suck... maybe even impossible. At least a lot frustration... and cursing. While i definitely prefer front mount implements for snow chores (and my neck agrees) rear mount and quick hitch setup might be a better choice for if you have no choice but to make the change on uneven ground.

12" is a lot different from your previously stated 3'. In that case, I'd say the LA805 would certainly do what you want. Which gets you down to the L3560, or L4060 if you're feeling spendy. Heck, if you want to replicate the video, a LA524 on a B2650 would probably do better than the little JD.

The first thought was to use standard pallets with 30" sides for storing and moving firewood, and stacking them two high....thus the 3' lift height. Now, it looks like using the method below will reduce loader capacity required by placing the load closer to the pins. Currently looking at moving these pallets into the front of the garage and using a pallet jack to stage them in the garage.

I am taking your advice and looking at the B2650. I am hoping the dealer will let me run a trial to see if it will handle the cut down pallet concept with the FEL. As a fall back, the B2650 3 pt has the capacity as I tried this with my JD855 using a TSC carry all and it worked fine. The B2650 3pt has over 400 llbs more capacity than the JD855. I cannot get a cab tractor into my garage as I only have 81" clearance. By using front pallet forks, I have more room for error than trying to back in with the 3pt. But knowing I can "make do" with the 3pt allows me to look at a smaller machine.

The good news is that the doors in my detached garage give me 92"+ of clearance so I can get a cab in there to mount the snow blower on a cement floor and out of the elements. Still cold but better than being outside.

My feelings as well. Thinking about negotiating a $200 cost per trip for 5 years if I buy from them. They are 35 miles from me and 50-55 minute drive taking the back roads. At $140/hr, it comes in at about $300.

In central Florida common trailer rate by dealers for tractors is $2.00 per mile.

35 miles X 4 (two round trips) = $140 X $2.00 = $280.

It takes at least 20 minutes to tie down a tractor properly to a trailer. Two tie downs per service.

Four and a half hours of mechanic time driving @ $40 per hour total dealer cost with insurance, etc. = $180.

So $300 is about right by central Florida standards.

Transportation for Kubota warranty work is supposed to be paid for by Kubota.

JD 855 3PT lift at 24"=785LBS
B2650 3PT lift at 24"=1676LBS
LA524 Max lift to full height at 20"=827LBS

All specs from TractorData

If the 855 3PT did what you want the B2650 will do it with both ends and not even know it's being worked.

I would put the snowblower on the front and get Top and Tilt and pallet forks for the 3pt, you aren’t lifting that high. Switching out the FEL and front mount snowblower in the winter would be lunacy. Just forget that idea right now. Best idea would be to quit screwing around with the wood, get oil or propane and spend all that extra time chasing younger women.

Don't forget, these lifting specs are done with the tractor completely tied down. Imagine trying to lift 1676LBS with that size tractor, nothing holding the front down. Wouldn't be good :)

Oh, I'm not arguing that. Just showing how outclassed the JD 855 is compared to the B2650.

YOU have not mentioned if you looked at mahindra yet .The 2555 cab should work for you at a lower price.

Went to the Mahindra dealer Monday but their computers were down so no pricing. Still nothing from them.

LOL....my fiancé is 12 years younger....my chasing is done.

I have propane and it is a reasonable cost now, but it has been very expensive at times. So it pays to have an alternative. And I get a lot of wood at low cost from local logging operations and forest management work.
