Upgrading from John Deere 790

I have owned a John Deere 790 for about a year now. I have used it to clear 2 acres of land using primarily a root rake, a box blade and a front end loader. For the most part, I can not complain about the 790, it would be hard to criticize the tractor for what it is. However, I would like to move into something a little larger that would enable me to pull more with the root rake and also lift more with the front end loader. I am thinking about a JD 4410 and a Kubota L4400, but I know very little about these or other alternatives. Reliablity, performance and of course, price are all big factors.

Any thoughts or suggestions ?

Mahindra 3510.

I got mine for >1K more than a 790 last fall. More weight by about 1500 lbs, a whole lot more loader, 8 more eng HP, shuttle shift, rear hyd remotes, folding rops.

Just a thought.

The 990 is the 790 on steroids. It is probably allot less than a 4410. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I don't know much about the newer Deere's (xx20 series) yet, but the model I've always thought was the best machine for up to 15 acres (±) is the 4300 series.
Physical size is very close to the 790, but is about 800# more weight, 4 more HP at the PTO and considerably more loader capacity.
I looked at a 4300 before I bought my 790. That one was a sync-shift model...1999, I think. Nice machine, but it got sold before I made up my mind. Frankly, it was too big for my property.
But two friends of mine bought the 4310 based upon my recommendation. They love 'em.
