URGENT - Have the KL1595 loader problems been solved?

Hello all, need a quick reply to this.

I have been looking for a small to mid size Kioti with FEL to feed cattle during the winter.
Have come across this......

On checking posts here, no problem with tractor,
but horror stories about KL1595 abound with lack of front bucket roll back, and front cylinders breaking.
Could you have a look at the pictures on the above site and see is this the loader with the issues, or as this is a 2008 model, does this mean the issues have been resolved as most of those initially started to appear in 2005.

Would I be better to go with a new EX50 and a KL150 loader bought direct from a Kioti dealer with a full warranty rather than take a chance on this second hand unit????
I really like the tractor though, very low hours and mint.
The loader would need to be capable of regularly carrying a 1/2 tonne load at the front,
as one of these things would be on the front..........

McHale Blockcutters or Shear grabs

.....the smaller one for cutting blocks of silage.
There would be a lot of pushing force required to shove this sheargrab into a compacted pit of silage.
There would be a counter weight on the rear.
How durable would the loader be?

I don't think there was ever a problem with the KL1595. As I recall it was the early KL1590 that had the rollback issues etc.

Looks like a nice essentially brand new tractor. The issues you need to think about are what longer warranty and zero percent interest are worth to you. I don't know what the DK55C sells for new but I'd think with less warranty remaining and especially with no zero% interest that you should be getting something like a 25-30% discount off list at least. That zero percent loan is worth about $3500-4000 by itself. Normal discount on a new tractor is in the 10-15% range so you can consider those numbers compared to a new tractor.

I cannot imagine any issue running that hay grapple device with a tractor this size.

The "hay grapple device" is called a shear grab with a very shap serrated blade on 3 sides. Here in Ireland we make mostly silage with our grass for winter feed as it rarely stays dry enough to make good hay. Essentially the grass is harvested, put in a big pit, compacted and sealed with a pvc cover and left to ferment. The resulting feed is a heavy damp product which cattle love, however you need a sheargrab to cut it from the clamp into managable blocks to feed to the stock. The grab I have at the moment cuts a 1/2 tonne block, but the grab for the Kioti will be a bit smaller than this.

Very likely, they do seem more agreeable when in for the winter.:laughing:

As regards the KL1595 loader, I'm more concerned about structural integrity than prices, if Kioti have their issues resolved?

Also the loader in the advert seems to take a hydraulic feed from the rear spool valves for all it's functions rather than dedicated spools under the cab.
Could this be an issue?
I hope to go see the 551c next Monday, it is 150 miles away from me.

Also I have a choice over here of an Ex50 or the Dk551c,
which is more resilient?
An EX50 with HST would be nice for loader work around the yard all winter.
Would HST have overheating issues with light field work, sowing fertiliser and such, pulling about 1 tonne?

Haylage (fermented hay) is very common in the states. If you ever see big round bales wrapped completely in plastic wrap, looking like big marshmellows, that's haylage. Silage (high moisture corn and corn stalks) is also very common.

Thanks for the education. Being a city boy I always thought the plastic on big round hay bales was to keep moisture out so the hay would stay dry and not rot. From now on I'll think of them as beer cans for cows.:thumbsup: Now that I know they like their hay fermented I feel a little closer to our bovine cousins and have a bit more respect for them.

We also do black wrapped bales of silage but only for small producers that don't have a pit, they tend to cost 3 times as much to make.
Now what about the KL1595 loader.
Yay or nay?
People around where I live wouldn't know a Kioti if it fell on their head.

No negatives that I am aware of. Kioti doesn't build their own loaders but their current generation of loaders all seem to be quite good and have relatively stronger performance compared to equivalent size Kubota or JD loaders for example.

What about driving a loader solely from the rear spools?
Would this not mean slower cycle times?
Like I said I should get a chance to check this next week.
