Congratulations on the Silver status. Where did you find the US36? I have never seen one of those.

Aaron,

In my computer I have a directory including pictures of most of the newest Yanmar models. Concerning the US model I know I have downloaded the pictures from a Japanese adds website but it was a long time ago and I don't remember the URL. I think the US model is still on the official Yanmar website
http://www.yanmar.co.jp.

Dave,

Do you mean these US models are available in the broker's yards in Japan ? Often or seldom ?

One more question, Aaron and Dave, have you ever seen in these yards or on a broker's selling list a AFXXX model (AF222 AF325 or so on) ?

Phil

Okay, finally! I've been trying to reply to this message for a while now!

The site was most likely PDS (www.pds-global.net). They have a bunch of nice newer low hour tractors. You have to register with them to view details, which I did. Prices are all over the place. They have at least 5 of the AF series on there.

I have no idea how to get one of them over here though. I emailed a distribution yard up north from me about it and they never replied. I am still planning to get a 2210D from Wayne at LMTC if they are still available when I finally am able to bankroll the purchase.

Anyway, the prices are given in yen and I just use the currency calculator built into Google's engine to find the equivalent US price. You can get a darn nice tractor over here (US) for what some of those newer Yannie's cost. Like I said, I don't know how much it would cost to have one shipped over here though you might be able to work out a deal with an importer who buys over there on a regular basis. They might need to fill a load out and may be able to squeeze a tractor on there for you. I don't know how all that stuff works though.

Aaron, like Dave said it is basically like the Deere, they are available from time to time but I have only seen 2. The US Yanmar model is a simple version of there newer line. Far too expensive in used form to bring over here though.

EuroYanmar, I have seen a few of the AFxxx models recently, I think it would have been cheaper for me to build a tractor from scratch though for what they were asking.

Phil,

I've moved my focus to new Mahindra and Branson tractors, but in years past Yanmar was our specialty, so my disclaimer is that I am not real current on all of this. I do see some US35's on the web and they look identical to the 990, they even have ROPS, although it looks a little different. I see some AF series, like the AF24 which has power-shift and shuttle-shift. Both models have power-steering of course. The AF is way more advanced than the US35, but not as heavily built. Last I checked I could buy a new Mitsubishi built Mahindra 15 series (dealer cost) for not much more than a used Yanmar AF-series. Cool tractors, but probably best left in Japan.

Buck and Dave,

Thanks a lot for the answers. I am afraid AFXXX series are still pricy tractors even in Japan. Maybe in the future they will be availaible at a better price....

I bought my AF22 at a good price from a french importer but........it had a broken head gasket ! And more than this, AF22 is a AFxx model and not a AFxxx which is newer.

Phil,

Thank you for your answer. The website you mentionned is not the site where I have found some pictures but really a clone of it. My site was fully in japanese language and I had to use the Google translator to understand what was writen there. I think your site maybe an english version of the one I browsed on.
