Used 4' double gang disc worth/value?

Tillers are awesome. Yet, they're dear in price.

As Ted says, on Everything Attachments, "A good tiller is $1600+, in this size. A simple middle buster and disk for under $900." His words, not mine.

There's more than one way to skin a cat, I guess. I still like a disk for chopping down the garden stalks in fall. Just my preference.

I am not a fan of TSC but last time I looked they were selling decent 4' tillers for $1350. None of the itty bitty disks I have seen were capable of getting much done. You won't see them in my signature line, beenthere done that.

What are you going to use it for and how often will you need it?

I bought a 5ft, angle iron disk that I found on Craigslist for $300. It was well used, and in need of some repair, but nothing serious. I use mine for food plots twice a year and use it about an hour each time. I grease it before using it and then it just sits until the next time.

I would love to have a bigger, heavier disk, but can't justify the money. Mine is light duty and for what I do, it's all I really need.
