Chris,
What part of PA are you from? I've researched and looked at a ton of used Kabota, JD, Ford's etc. over the past 4 months. I travel a lot so I've see tractors from Pittsburgh out to Chambersburg/Harrisburg area. I can tell you from my experience that there is one Kubota dealer in particular (I won't name names here) that is outrageously priced compared to others. I wound up with an awesome deal after feeling like I would never find one. I bought a JD 770 (24hp) w/ 60in MMM, 500 EASY hours and still shiney like new for $7700. I mean this tractor looks like a 2000 model and it's an 89. It was garage kept, waxed, serviced, and cleaned after every mow. If this tractor had made it to a dealer it would have went for 10K easy. Some say that I was lucky which I don't deny, but I also turned over every stump in the state looking for this deal. Let me know if I can help. If you're anywhere in the Southwest to Southcentral part of the state I'd be glad to share my experiences with you.
Thanks for all the replies. I've decided to wait a bit, and continue shopping. There were 2 great sounding bargains in the local newspaper this week, but both sold before I could get to them. Very disapointing!
Briar, I am in South Central PA, just South of Harrisburg. I'd appreciate it if you could send me the name of the over-priced dealer via private mail. I want to make sure to at least be very cautious with them.
chris: i found my tractor at this web site www.ironsolutions.com then click on search and check wat u want to look for. u may get lucky like i did . tractors are from all over the us, some have pics and details.found the one i bought 172 mi. from home, in butler pa. dealer delivered free. used b2400, 98, with 68 hrs on it . with fel, back blade and 5 ft. finish mower. check it out! can't hurt and gives u a good idea of prices in diff. parts of country.
Frank Nothing at all wrong with that tractor, the owner traded it for a larger tractor. The reason I mentioned the blade was, it was mine at one time. That's where I bought my (B2400) tractor new in 1998, it now has 120 hrs on it. I just ordered a 352 loader without the valve from them. I'll put it on myself. I bought a pallet full of hydraulic components at an auction from a Kubota dealer going out of business. Amoung the stuff on the pallet was three joystick valves for a 351 loader, and one for a 680 loader. So the last thing I need is another valve.
If anyone is looking for a used B2400 there is one nearby with 220 hrs, and a 351 loader for $12,200. If you want it with the Kelley backhoe It's $16,500. That's before dickering.

Is that B2400 the one that is at the dealer there in Butler? Are their any attachements with it (i.e. mower)? Anyway, I am looking at a B2400 now with a 351 loader and 4672 kubota backhoe for $15K with 600 hrs on it. Do you think that is a good price? How do you like your 2400?
Anything else on that pallet that you would consider selling - like a 3-way open center valve? I would like to work my way toward a top n tilt solution, but start with the remote valve installation. Then I can use a power rake this fall as well.
Babybober Don't know the condition of the setup you are looking at, but this one is clean. This one has a Kubota 351 loader that will take a MMM. It has a B600 Kelley 3PH hoe, that will also make room for a MMM. Nothing else with it. Don't know if 380 hours would be worth $1500, then your setup may be worth more with a Kubota hoe.
The phone # is 724-452-8863 They are located just off I79 in Zelienople, Pa.
