ifinish,

Having just purchased a B7800, and getting tons of use out of it, I'm wondering why your selling after owning such a short time? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Not a bad 'Bota' experience, I hope?

If it's truly the right choice for you, I'm sure you'll find someone to buy this great setup. The B7800 is a great and in-demand model.

Nice looking machine - wheel weights, too, if I'm not mistaken...

I don't have a good answer for you, but about a year ago I talked to a dealer about trading / selling my tractor, looking to move up. He suggested that I try the open market and sell it privately. I have a 1997 B7300, 4WD, HST, FEL, 48" Rhino rotary cutter and he said maybe $8K. Maybe. I also have a Woods 6500 BH that might have added $3K.

Since anything I'd want to buy would cost me at least $20K this wasn't an option for me. I own all these things and while they may not be everything I ever wanted they sure work just fine.

So I don't really have an answer for you, except that when I have considered selling my equipment it has always been for a lot less than I think it is worth...or maybe just a lot less than it is worth to me.

BTW, I did read one of your follow up posts and I wanted to let you know that I am really sorry about your injury(ies) and hope things go well for you. Best of luck to you...Chris

Sorry to hear about the back injuries. Here in Ma. you will have no problem selling that rig with what the Kubota dealers charge for a new machine. Try the "Want Advertiser" to advertise it. The 7800 is a real nice machine and will sell itself for you. Another option is EBay. Just make sure you put a reserve price on it so that it doesn't sell too cheap. I've seen some tractors there sell for nice money. It also helps if you can deliver it or have a trailer for it.

Chris - as posted earlier, try the Want Advertiser. I would also strongly recommend Uncle Henry's Swap and Sell Guide. Had a friend who sold a JD 4210 with 50 hours pretty quickly in Uncle Henry's.

Good suggestions. Right now, though, I'm keeping what I have. It was just a passing thought a year or two ago - can't really justify it since my tractor does everything I need it to.
