Used barn question

I was approached about removing a 5 year old pole barn for a decent price. The question I have is : can you paint the metal siding? I want it too match my other barn which is green and the one that I would be buying is white with red roof.

Yes, but may have to clean it with something first

You can paint anything. The question is if it will stick. Do a good surface prep. You may also consider a primer.

Will you try and clean before removal? If so, power wash with TSP, and bleach and a little detergent. Spray on, first, let sit for about 30 min, and pressure wash off. Could also take it down and pressure wash flat on ground. Then paint.

I would paint the roof panels before installation, and the sides after installation..
