This summer prices were a little on the high side due to short supply and zero percent financing...
At the end of July I took delivery of a
BX2200 with 60" deck. I paid $10,375. I thought I should pay about $10,000...but it was a seller's market.
Using my price, you are saving $850 for an almost new tractor...but depening on when it was purchased, you may be losing a good portion of the 2 year warrenty [power train is 3 years].
I think I would ask the dealer for a price on a new
BX2200 and see what the actual savings were in your area at this point in time. Maybe get a second price from anouther dealer just to be sure the original dealer is not inflating the price for new, to make the old one look better.
You might also ask if there were any warrenty repairs on that tractor in its first 50 hours...
I guess you have read this thread:
BX2200 Transmission Problems...
Would the dealer give you the phone number of the tractor's previous owner if you were real serious about buying it? like after you put some money down? If not, I would worry why not...
Just a few thoughts...
