Price Check Used BX2200 Price

I am new to this forum and this is my first post so please bare with me. I have been browsing for the past month or so and WOW! What a great source of information. I have been looking at the BX2200 and the JD2210 and have been leaning heavily towards the JD but the local Kubota salesman called tonight and said he has a 2001 BX2200 with a 60"MMM that has 187 Hrs on it. He said it was a Repo and was very clean.
He said he would put a new Woods Loader on it and sell it for $10,000. Does this sound like a good deal? Thanks in advance for any info.

It doesn't sound like a good deal to me, considering that you can purchase a new one for about $12,000 and it comes with a 3 year warranty..... check out prices at web page ... and for more pricing info, check here..... web page

Friday I plan on buying a 2001 BX2200 w 60MMM and 300 hours for $7500. It appears to be in great shape. I was able to get a little history on the tractor too. Who owned it, how they used it, etc. You might do the same. I am buying off the original dealer. He quoted me a new FEL for $2500. That makes it an even $10,000; same as yours.

Have you shopped around for a new machine? Some of the things to consider are the warranty on a 2001 machine has only one year left on it at best, depending on when it was sold. I checked the price calculator for new pricing and what I found follows.......

The total of your list prices is: $14385 In my opinion, a good price would be: $12227.25 and a great price would be: $11508.

Personally, I think that you should try to cut a better deal for less money..... it doesn't hurt to try...

Junkman has a good point about the warranty. The manufacturers warranty on the 2001 model I am buying has expired. However the dealer is giving me a 6-month warranty. I am taking the chance that this tractor, like most Kubota's, will give me little to no problems.

I would however like someone to show me a new 2200 w 60" mower and loader for $11,500. Sweet Deal! Even in the middle of winter, I could not find a deal like that. Does anyone know the best month to find a great deal on Kubotas?

I think January is the best month to buy a tractor. I was at the Kubota dealer this morning and there were tractors everywhere and no buyers. I purchased my BX2200 with 60 inch MMM and FEL, 13 months ago for $11, 978. Others on TBN have received better deals than that so $11,500 is not out of the question.

Scott..... you didn't put a location in your profile so this might not apply to you.
I would ask the dealer to give you a warranty based on hours and months with the longest period applying. If you are in a cold climate, you are not going to be using the tractor very much until it gets warm. I would be looking to have the warranty starting say April 15th when you can be assured that the weather will be good enough to start using it on a regular basis. If the tractor is in as good a condition as you say, the dealer shouldn't have any problem with extending the warranty.... Ask for a lot and get a little more....... but remember to be reasonable....

I thought of that as well and mentioned it to the salesman. I was told I needed to talk to the owner about that. I have not talked to him yet. I was going to ask to extend it through August at the very least.

I am new here but I am going to sell my 2003 model BX2200 with 40hrs. and 54" mmm. I am in North Carolina if any one is interested I will take $8600.00 it is like new,I bought it new last April, I need something bigger. I must know soon for I am about to trade. for a B7610.
