Used Cub 3206 - What to watch for?

Hi,
I've got my sights on a 3206 with about 450 hours on the meter.

Owner says it was maintained well and has not issues.

I know it's a solid tractor. Heavy... not a cheap big box cub or deere type of machine. I also know it's almost 20 years old...

So it may run fine, but parts still wear out. So, what should I look for when test riding it?

Any key issues that are tell tale red flags?

Look for oil leaks. Hydraulic valve assembly is expensive. If it has the vacuum PTO engagement check that it operates smoothly. I had a 3235 (similar tractor) that blew a head gasket. Head bolts were never torqued down during manufacture.

Hi,I have 2 ,3206 tractors,as the previous person said check for oil leaks,and make sure hydrolic oil level maintained at full do not run with low engine oil or hydrolic oil,other than that I have just under 1000 hrs on one of my tractors and I just sold my second 3206 with over 2000 hrs on it and 300 hrs on the engine rebuild,good luck!
