Does anyone have an opinion if this would be a good buy?
They say it’s a Ford, selling for 500$

Welcome to TBN! Well, it’s been rode hard and put away wet. BUT, as long as the rotor is not damaged or out of balance, use it until you can’t. Biggest problem with it is the rods (#5) that hold the hanger/knives on the rotor. The hangars wear a notch in the rod and make it difficult to pull the rods out necessary to change the blades.
It is a Ford 907. Enjoy it.

Things to consider.

What condition are the flails in? A replacement set $250+.

Check for slop in the gearbox.

ALso check the PTO knuckles for slop.

How bad does it vibrate? Is it due to bearings, uneven flail wear or a bent rotor or all of the above.

How close is the "deck" to rusting through?

Are the roller bearings attached firmly. My experience with this model is the roller breaks off and it's not worth repairing.

IMO there are better machines out there for not much more money.

Run Forest Run!! Your pics are of the wrong side of that machine. You have to get down and look at the business end of it.
