Used Ford/NH 2120

$18,500 for a 2120 in the condition you describe is a good deal. The year of the machine means absolutely nothing, it's all hours and condition. My 1987 2120 is worth about as much as a much newer one with similar hours. You'll never regret buying a 2120.

And don't look at it's "rated" PTO horse power. It was purposely underrated to stay under the Nebraska standards. It is a very capable machine. I have put many loads over 2000 # into the back of my F350 dump.

Not doubting anything you said Andy, as far as horsepower ratings my MF 135 is rated the same as this one so I know it is capable of more than you'd think.
I just wanted to know if 18,5 sounded about right for this machine, unfortunatly this machine is newer and in better shape than what I am looking for (meaning I don't plan on spending that much).
