used G3033 price check

I just saw a used G3033 with FEL and backhoe for sale down the road from me. Told my buddy about and he's interested.
The sign on it says it's a 2013 with 247 hrs, but it looks like it's had about 2000 on it. Rear tires (R1's) are all cut up on the tread lugs, front grill is all smashed up and the hood doesn't latch down securely, loader level indicator rod is out of the female end and twisted up like a pretzel, seat has tears in it, stabilizer feet for the backhoe are missing something (shoes of some sort), scrapes, grease slopped all over all the zerks, etc., etc..

Asking price is $18,500. Maybe I'm a cheap bastard, but that sounds way, way high to me.
I have an opinion as to what it's worth, but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Shuttle shift; not hydro.

It just amazes me the way some people can beat the crap out of equipment.

In that condition, I'd prolly walk at any price! Who knows what you can't see.

Saw this ad in CT for a new G3033 TLB. Pass this on to your friend. I didn't post the dealers name or his number. I'm sure your local dealer can match or come close.

I don't think he's scared of any cosmetic damage, so I'm wondering what a more realistic price might be for this unit.

Also, I thought the 5-year warrantee was transferable. That would be better for his mind.

I'm, thinking go over there with $12,000 cash.

Id definitely start at a low price knowing you can get a new one for 3K more than he's asking.

At that price you could get used tractor and brand new hoe (they are 5-6K from what I understand). The G3038 & R3039 I was looking at (I bought the R3039) were in the $13K ballpark. Something clean would go for around $15K so beat up would be less than that.

I'd call LS USA on the warranty. The used R3039 I bought was from a dealer (not the original dealer that sold it) and I found out it had a problem after I took delivery of it and LS USA said they would fix it but while talking to them they gave me the idea that the warranty might not transfer if it was from an individual. So I'd make sure what the scoop is before anyone takes the plunge.

My buddy called around to a couple of dealers and found a G3033 with loader and backhoe for $21,000. He'll probably go that route.
