Used GMC Dump Truck

Sounds like that may be a very nice truck. Maybe have someone experienced with Detroits, and Allison trans' check it out???
I used to have a 12' flatbed dump truck and it was great...very versatile and manueverable. We used to haul a John Deere sliploader on it, and hauled long logs too with a red flag. This was in the old days in Northern New Mexico....hauled adobes too.

Thanks Runk, I did have a diesel mechanic/truck driver drive it and he says its OK except for the split rim wheels, which aren't bad, just not his first choice. If I buy it I sure will post pics. The guy is in no hurry to sell it and does not have it advertised, so given that I may just wait until after I go to the San Francisco auction on the 25th before pulling the trigger, who knows I my get lucky over there and bring home a real bargain. I'll post the results.

Well, thought I'd let you guys know I went and bought that GMC flatbed, turned out to be better than I thought. Very nice truck, I'll post a few pics when I get a chance. I didn't notice at first, but it has new virgin rubber on the duals, less than 500 miles with the reciepts. Original un-torn seat upholstery and floor mats. Gonna like this rig.

Thanks to all for the help, it was appreciated. The more I looked the better this truck seemed at $4500, couldn't find anything close to its condition for that. I'm still going to the SF auction this weekend for kicks, it'll be fun to see whats there and I'll post results.
