You're exactly right Bill, I completely missed the FEL. Price on a Chinese loader depends again on which Jinma it goes on.
Jinma JM/ZL-20 Front end loader(18-28 hp) crate price $1610, suggested retail $2100, street price up to $2200
Jinma JM/ZL-30 Front end loader(30-35 hp) crate price $1750, suggested retail $2250, street price up to $2400

Add a crate loader to that imaginary JM254 package, and the total comes to $9482

Not that I'd buy this package myself - the point was merely to demonstrate what kind of NEW Chinese/Sikeston stuff $9250 might buy.

Allright fellas: let's do the math:

25 hp brand new JM, u-pick up, already assembled with Chinese FEL= $7,610
5' brand new howse cutter, u-pick up = $549
PTO auger, 9", u-pick up = $475
16' trailer with brakes, u-pick up = $1,000

All this adds up to $9,634.

But wait, there's more:
You have tax, right? You have shipping costs, right? What are the associated costs to these transactions? Oh yea, you going to MO to pick up the trailer and wherever to pick up the JM, Bush-hog and Auger? What are the travel expenses associated with this? Your time?

Did you notice I used your sources for pricing out the 25 hp JM with Chinese FEL? Mine is a 28hp. What's the going price for a 2004 28 hp with FEL? Maybe add an additional $500? How about $1,000?

Sure, my stuff is 2 years young and there should be a discount associated with that? O.k. So let's do some more math:

Say you find an = package deal as mine, but brand new, 2004 stuff. Let's talk apples to apples here, o.k.? Let's say sales tax is 6% on $10,000 (add an additional $500 for 28 hp not 25 hp.). Now you're at just over $10,600k for the whole package. And what about shipping? $250? $500? $750? $1,000? How about we say $500? So now you are at $11,100.

Compare $11,100 to my ASKING price of $9,250. 17% discount, right? Just less than 8% per year. Imagine the savings if you "haggle with me? Could you see an easy 20% discount looming on the horizon?

Now, figure that I have slightly less than 100 hrs. on my JM. That's an equivalent to 1 hour per week for two years. Who has a tractor that's two years young with less than 100hrs? That's probably the equivalent to a nice Honda Accord or Camry with maybe 5k miles, right?

In sum: So, are you really buying that nice dinner for your wiife or girl-friend at the "outback steakhouse," only to realize you might have to wash dishes for a couple of weeks to pay for the 20oz. prime rib and lobster tail your lil' miss purchased? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Unlike the big 3, prices on Jinmas haven't gone up significantly over the last few years. IMHO, you will be fortunate to get what you are asking. Maybe whoever buys the property, will be interested to get a tractor ASAP. I personally would go new, with warrantee, and all the latest Jinma features.

gbob: I agree with Johns on this one. asking proce and a traile that needs work, is not that good. Just my 2 cents worth, but I would not sell my 284 for less than 10 K right now cause I like it and know how good it is. anyway for th e10 K I could get a NEW one and have $ left over but then I have to go through the fun and excitement of waiting for it tto arrive and putting it together... (though I had fun doing it I ahve a back hoe and tiller with finish mower for the price you are asking when I bought mine new.) and the back hoe aws far more than a cost for a broken trailer...

I really do hate to part with my JM, but my backs up against the wall. I've got to sell it. I suppose I could take everything with me to MASS and have Graham S. attempt to sell it for me...you know, consignment. He gets calls for these sorts of things from time to time. I spoke with Graham about it already and he's up for it (some of you boys in this chat forum might already know Graham...he knows these JMs better than most folks and a regular contributor to CTOA website, designed for JM owners). I'll have to drink a bottle of tequila AND eat the worm once I part with my "red-head girl."

John S. I put you up there next to Graham, which means I value your good judgement. I've been to your sight as well and seen your stuff. Maybe I'm shootin' for the moon on the price, but doesn't anybody like to haggle? I liken' it to going to a car dealer and haggling. All this is to say is that this is just the asking price. Take out the trailer from this package deal and maybe someone will toss out an offer. Oh yea, got mine from Gary at Emerybuilt. Anyway, I'm open for any offers...for my farm or for the JM. Reasonable offers, that is.

BTW, I dig the 2004s and all the nice tweaks on it....hood, panel set-up, etc.

On a different note.....

There's a used car dealer near my neck of the woods that's selling "Terraplanes" (everyone knows the're DFs) like hot cakes. Nice guys and nice DFs. $10k price point with Chinese FEL. Different colors. DFs cosmetically look cleaner.

Just an FYI to any and all interested parties......

I have sold my 2002 28 JM with FEL and all the accessories....basically everything that I has described in the previous thread. $8,950.
