Used Kubota vs New LS

but nearest LS dealer is 2 hours away. Local Kubota dealer is about 10 miles away.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

From what I've seen, the 2hour away LS dealer may be selling used cars or a BBQ next week, then where's the next closest dealer located? Nothing against the tractor, just what I've observed around here.

Thanks Egon - from what I'm told the LS a 25HP in a 35HP frame, but is certainly a good bit weaker in the PTO. However, I'm not sure i'd really need more. Our ground is pretty soft here and I think mostly i'd throw more force/weight at the front loader/pallet forks.

Rustyiron - I think there are others that are only a little further away. I'd say within 3.5 hours there are about 6 LS dealers surprisingly. The quote was from the one furthest away. I think the place opie got his has the cheapest price but there on the farther end away too and I'd have to pay tax. Although the massey dealer in town told me if you use it for construction tax is capped at $300 and if it's for farming there is no tax. Not sure if that's true.

I was a little skeptical wondering why someone would trade in a complete package like that. The place it's at is very heavy equipment sales...no smaller stuff like tractors, so a little out of place. Apparently it's that guys personal tractor. There's a new looking B series in town someone has been trying to sell for a long time. He bought it for a house build that never happened so he ended up using it only a little to clear some stumps. It's not a 2013, but I guess some people get tractors and never end up using them. Maybe hold on to them thinking one day they will but then finally decide to let go. That's the asking price, and I hate negotiating. It seemed like a good price already to me.

Take some advice from a 23 year Kubota dealer, i also sold LS for a few years before i retired. Buy the LS, much heavier built, better tractor all around! I realize a lot of people buy a product for the name, i feel sorry for those people as they miss some great products. ****, i still have an old Belarus, and love it!

Well...I just put the order in for the XG3025H. Man i hate spending money, but hopefully sitting on a blue tractor will take my mind off of it. Thanks everyone for the feedback provided. Should be here Saturday

Those of us that are rural will be interested. Many subjects on TBN are unrelated to tractors.

COngrats, You will be happy with your purchase. I lemented on putting out the money also but mine has about paid for itself with the work I would have had to farm out to others. Great machine for property cleanup and farm tasks.

Curious as to why you say that about the dealer may be selling used cars next.
Lakes Region: Sebago? LS dealer in Windham has been there a few years now. Affiliated with the other dealer over in Oxford. What LS dealer dealer in the area went to BBQ sales?
