Price Check Used L2600DT price

I'm searching for a tractor to handle 5 acres of pasture/grass, with a little fencing and dirt moving work (nothing major). I had been looking at new tractors, but I came across a Kubota L2600 DT (4 wheel drive, with FEL and 5' brush hog). Pretty close to what I've been looking for. It has 35 hours on it (one year old). Asking price is $13,000. Sounds like a pretty good deal. I have only seen it from the road, but it looks like its in pretty good shape. Apparently, the owner replaced it with a bigger tractor not long after buying it. As a mechanical dim-wit, I'm not excited about buying used, but if it can be had for, say, $12,000 it might be too good to pass up. What do the experts think?

That doesn't seem like a bad price,but I would take the L2600 out for a test spin before signing the check,just to make sure it sounds good and that it fits you well..also check to see if there some kind of guarantee thats comes w/the tractor since it becomes second hand owner.

I have the L2350DT which is the same as 2600, with the exception of a couple of HP more then mine, and a full instr. panel. If you'll be happy with a basic machine, like I am then buy it. I put up 14,700 for mine with loader & 6'wds rear mower. Check the tires for cuts only 35hrs they should look like new. Take it for a spin around the block make sure it sounds ok and shifts smooth.

Bought my L2500DT (immediate predecessor to the L2600DT) a couple of years ago with 87 hours on it. That's close enough to new that the dealer gave me a full warranty on it.

Paid $9,885 for the tractor itself, plus another $2,780 for a brand new loader. Got a new Howse 5' rotary cutter at the same time for $653.
