Hi guys, I'd like to thank everyone for the advice that was provided, it was very helpful in my search for a tractor. I was looking for something in the 30-35 horsepower range with a loader and backhoe. I soon realized that if I bought new, I'd probably couldn't afford one with a backone. I started looking at used tractors, looked at a bunch and missed out a real good deal (at the time I was too numb to realize it was a good deal). I kept looking and found a used L35 with 800 hours for $16,000. It came with tire chains and included the PTO implements. Based on advice from the good people here at TBN, I had the tractor inspected by a kubota dealer. They did a bunch of tests (hydraulics, etc) and said that it was mechanically sound. It does have a few bumps and bruises, some rust, paint is faded but the dealer said it was solid. The owner was good about changing fluids, keeping it greased, etc.
I was glad that I looked at same model at a local Kubota dealer that had 1700hours. They were asking $20k for that machine and what I bought is obviously in much better shape.
So, my search is over and I can't wait until I can start making a mess with my new toy!
Thanks again
Joe
