Hi all, thanks again for all your helpful info. I did finally find a used m59 that wasn't too far to ship and have really been enjoying it. Here are a few pics of it in action with my kids.

I am certainly not the safety police. I think every kid should get to operate a tractor at a young age like I did under close supervision of course, but 3 kids at once is too much.

At first glance I too though it would be tough watching 3 kids on the tractor. But seeing it's stationary and having the second adult there to "oversee" what's going on makes a difference. Even though somewhat hidden he appears to be focused on the kids and aware of what they're doing. Still have to be very careful as accidents tend to happen pretty quickly!
Yes the multi kid picture was a control drill of trying to just scrape the dirt with the backhoe without digging into it, it was done very slowly at low RPM.
