My RM 48 uses a B-124. Costs me around $20.00. Amen on the twisting, thankful for the decal. Have one on order right now.

Getting the pin out was easy. I'm sure a newer spindle would be more servicable. We were pretty careful with this one. Maybe if we could have let it soak a few days in kroil or something..

I tried that, but only once. After a few blows, the top of the shaft had started to spread and it was essentially ruined, as the sleeve, and at least the top bearing (and maybe the bottom one too) are the same diameter and had to slide past, the resulting oversized shaft.

$64 /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I bought mine at NAPA for well under $30, it might have been under $20. If you ever need to buy a new one, the NAPA number is B162. A word of caution, don’t use their heavy duty green colored belt. It is to stiff and will not handle the twisting. It will fail. I have had their standard duty belt on for two years now and it seems fine. And the one before that was on for at least 5 years.

Good tip on the belt. Napa web site has them listed at $37.19(B162). $27.00 for the other one.
