used spading machine

I just signed up to this site and it looks like a great resource, glad to have discovered it and will certainly reccomend it to others. Does anyone out there own a spading maching? I would like to hear all the good and bad about them. Any ideas on how to find a used one? I am shopping around for a 63" 40hp rated one, it seems like people really hold on to them, I can't find any used ones on the web. Thanks for any info. -Dave

A spading machine is a primary tillage tool that looks like a rear mounted rotovator, but works like a series of hand shovels on a crank shaft. It is a rare specialized tillage tool only manufactured in Europe, I believe, and mainly used in vegetable production..... I wonder why I can't find any used ones in the ol'tree line:laughing:
