Thanks for the replies everyone, some very good advice.

Does anyone have any input on a McCormick x10? I was just on their website and saw they are offering a free FEL with a purchase of a new x10, which is quite a nice incentive. I was looking at the x10.30H, as from what I've read and understand, the hydrostatic transmission is the best for new tractor owners while they get their bearings on everything else.

That line of McCormick machines are pretty much Kioti clones, with red paint, although I believe some use a different FEL>

You'll find that many of the big brands offer "free" loaders, but it's mostly a gimmick...it's either a free loader, or cash back, or some other combination. The easiest way to negotiate/compare, is to get a cash price for the tractor with FEL and any options like remotes (2 can come in handy), work lights, etc, and go from there. Some folks are saying that for the equivalent machine, the McCormick model will be slightly less expensive.

If you want to compare to a Kioti, the best prices within several hundred miles seem to be at Michigan Iron and Equipment...not too close to you, but definitely worth a call.

GmanBart nailed it. The larger McCormicks are made by ladini but the x series I believe is all kioti.

It's not uncommon for brands to rebadge the tractor and sell it as another name. LS does it for New Holland and TYM does it for Cabelas.
