used value? 2005 3720 w/250hrs whats it worth?

Ill be looking at one tomorrow, i would only even consider it if its in great condition, if it looks beat, i dont care if its 4000$.

Theyre $27,xxx new with a 300cx loader option, ihitch,ballast box, mid pto, hood guard.

15% off that is $23,xxx for a new one.

Could i expect this under 20k easily? The dealer said it would receive a large discount. My next question is can i still finance through JD credit? for a new one i can get the 36mo 0% financing option, which i need.

250 hours is just a good break-in, and may be less wear and tear than the same hours on a 6 year old tractor (like mine). If its not beat up, and abused, then it should have a pretty good used value. I'd think just about the $20 k would be ballpark and worth it. If you can get less, and it fits your eye for looks, good on ya.
Hope it works in your favor. I agree, I wouldn't want something that shows abuse. I've used mine hard, IMO, but it still washes up and waxes up well.

I sold my 3720 about five months ago for $22,000 to a private individual. My dealer knew this man and introduced me to him. I sold it with a 300cx loader and 72" Frontier RFM. My dealer said that was a really nice price. My tractor had about 100 hours on it and was in truly like new condition. I think you can glean the running prices from this. Those tractors hold their value really well.

Just wondering why did you sell your 3720? As a side note i see you mountain bike, I did a nice 2 hour ride in the snow yesterday, sure is fun going through the woods in the wintertime, we saw a herd of 29 deer.

Thanks john, what is the 72" RFM a mower? If im only saving a couple K, i would buy a new one, if i cant get JD credit, it wouldnt be worth it either way. Thanks for the info though.

Not sure, im assuming this is a 2005 or 2006 model? 3720s havnt been out long yet right? Yeah i mountain bike, i havnt in a while since im always so busy and the area i live in now is almost city like for the town VS out in the country before. This past summer i went for one long drive, bought a rear trunk mount yakima bike rack for $60 and the bikes were bouncing all over, finally secured it, whole **** thing flew off the car in a turn, damaged 3 body panels on my Pontiac and the one bike needs some major component work /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I sold my 3720 to get into a 4520, which I currently own. Currently, there might not be a huge difference in price between a used tractor and a new one with the pricing the way it is now. Since JD does not do model years, there really is no such thing as a 2005 or 2006 model, but I suppose it was a 2005 since that is when I bought it. As far as riding, sounds like that snow ride was a lot of fun. I am planning to go out with a group here for a few hours on the road today. Looking forward to it.

I really like the 4020 series but I need to stay with the 3020 because I want a front mount snowblower.

yeah i understand the year made thing.

It was a demo JD unit, i took a look at it today, looks dirty, not beat up, very few scratches, just needs a cleaning i guess. Its the 3720 model with 300cx loader. Not sure what theyre going to ask for it, it would have to be a lot less for my case though since its used and i couldnt get 0% financing then, id be in the 5.9% or higher financing and would be probably another $40 a month just in interest alone.

I DID find frontier attachments finally though, ill make a post about that, i have a lot of questions.

The 3720 says its 68" wide... yet a 65" wide back box blade looks to be 2" wider on each side of the rear tires?

I would say that anything under 21K would be a good deal. My question is, why is this tractor back at the dealer? Is it truly a demo? My dealer doesn't let tractors go out for 250 hour demonstrations that I know of. It could be an "inside/buddy" deal.
