Hi, I'm pretty handy, and a reasonable fabricator. And I like to be a frugal as I can. So, I'm wondering if you can give me some suggestions for good attachments to make/build.

My next plan is to make a middle buster. I would also like to make a row hipper.

I have a Bobcat, as well as a tractor with a quick attach FEL. So I can use the same front attachments for both. I recently made a tipping carry all for the 3pt hitch.

What else would you suggest? It's Winter, and I've got some time...

Thanks,

Troy

Here's a though, I have wounder about how a front push blade would go over if there was a water fillable drum mounted behind the push blade so that as the front blade push the dirt the water filled drum would break up the dirt cluds and help with soil packing at the same time.

Just something to think about.

Good Luck.

The middle buster and row hipper, both combined in one implement, has been around for decades. It's called a lister. Basically it is a left and right moldboard plow joined side by side.

It was originally designed for row crops (corn etc.) where the seed was planted in the furrows and as the crop was cultivated the ridges were rolled back into the furrows.

How about a 3 pt. forklift..?? I originally built this, modifying a hyd. pallet jack to stack round bales in my barn. Remove two bolts, and loosen two more, and the spear comes off to put the forks back on.

Got a 2" X like 104" cylinder from Surplus Center to replace the jack cylinder, as it was only like 3/4" bore.

Dad bought 2 at an auction for $25.00. The tag on it says Cap. 1,000 lbs. Those bales weigh in at 580 lbs ea. Lifts them easily...

Plus, handy for moving, and stacking palletized things. I even used it to set my waste oil furnace up on it's stand, approx. 7' high.

Not used all that often, but worth the space to store in in the barn, when I need it. Got about $250.00 in it, + my time...

A Scraper Blade Land Plane or a Grapple are to very useful and doable projects

if you need a cheap pasture drag.. find 7 old tires and bolt them together in a triangle formation, laying flat, then face one long side with a piece of angle or tpost, then make it pull behind a tractor as a pasture drag.

I have built all my attachments for my 1980 Kubota B7100 - 1 hiller from an old horse drawn set, 1 hiller from a couple of discs from a disc harrow, a middle buster/potatoe hoe, a 3 point rear blade, modified an ATV plow for the front using a 12v winch to raise/lower, salvaged an old pull behind spring tooth harrow & used the bits & pieces to make a 3 point harrow/landscape rake, a 3 point fork lift that can be used on my '47 Ford 8N also.

Thanks guys. After cutting/skidding firewood for the last few days I've come up with something else that would be quite handy. My B7100 is sooooo small there is no spare real estate to carry anything into the woods - first trip in I had my chainsaw on my lap. Going to come up with a box/cargo carrier that will attach to my 3 point trailer hitch/skidder attachment to carry chainsaw, gas/oil, ax, chains, etc. Once in to where I'm cutting I can drop it off, pick it up at the end of the day & carry my stuff back to the truck. I've seen commercial units for cars/trucks/RV's so I'll make something similar.
