jenkinsp what size angle iron did you use and how long/diameter of the spikes?
Does it work good? Would you change anything if you did it over? Sorry for all the questions but I am going to making one and using your idea.

Thanks

Case485Guy,
The harrow uses 5/8" sucker rod for the spikes and these are welded to 2x2x3/16" angle iron. The front cross member is 3x4" box tubing left over from the truck bed also pictured below. The sides are 3" channel and the end crossmember piece is 1 1/2x3" box tubing. Used up some stuff I had on hand for this. Spike teeth are about 8" length. This harrow works pretty good and if you look at the pics close you can see the results of the grass coming up in the furrows, took a few months to smooth out fully even with rolling. If I were to change anything it would be to have the front mounting hinged to the top of the harrow frame so that it would pull level without the need for the stiff top link.

Here's a pic of the truck bed I built for the F350 with gn hitch and toolboxes. Powdercoated after completion.

I have built all my attachments for my 1980 Kubota B7100 - 1 hiller from an old horse drawn set, 1 hiller from a couple of discs from a disc harrow, a middle buster/potatoe hoe, a 3 point rear blade, modified an ATV plow for the front using a 12v winch to raise/lower, salvaged an old pull behind spring tooth harrow & used the bits & pieces to make a 3 point harrow/landscape rake, a 3 point fork lift that can be used on my '47 Ford 8N also.

Ken, I see a blue reciever below your 3pt. in the picture of log skidding. Is that secondary hitch reciever. Nice job on all your pieces. Lots of experience in a few pics. Like your logging chain extension. A box would be nice maybe a piece canvas drop cloth inside to dampen amplified jounce.

Yes, the lower blue one fits into the fixed hitch that is bolted to the bottom of the rear differential. I only use it when I don't have my other gizmo attached to my 3 point. It is accessible by raising the 3 point all the way up.

if you need a cheap pasture drag.. find 7 old tires and bolt them together in a triangle formation, laying flat, then face one long side with a piece of angle or tpost, then make it pull behind a tractor as a pasture drag.

soundguy

Hey soundguy, do you rotate those tires (top to bottom) so they wear pretty evenly???? :D
