Here's the error message I get:

"Warning: copy(/home/tractorb/tractorbynet.com/htdocs/forums/userpictures/7989.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/tractorb/htdocs/forums/changebasic.php on line 216"

I believe bczoom had the same problem in this thread

Any suggestions?

Okay, I just answered my own question. Instead of trying to download the new user image from my pc directly into my profile, I first posted the pic to the "Signatures" thread in this forum. I then copied the url in that thread of my pic and pasted it into the url window for my profile editing page. It worked!
