I finally got my new B2410. I ordered it on Valentine's day and received it the day before Mother's day - strange timing, but at least it's here. The manual that comes with the mower shows that the mower can be clipped into a fixed position using a bracket so that the 3pt hitch can be used without removing the mower. The problem I'm having is that when I raise the mower to maximum height, the mower's bracket is still 1" below the bracket that it should be joined to. What am I doing wrong?

I have a similar problem with my mower. I use a 2x4/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif to lift each side of the mower to get hole lined up for pin. If hole are off by 1", mower may not be raising to its fullest height. This will require the adjustable connecting rod be adjusted to bring mower to its highest position. If you have adjusted the side link to put a three point attachment on. That will affect the height and level of mower when it is fully raised.
I have found using the loader to raise front of tractor. I can remove mower just as easy as trying to install and remove these pins./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
If you remove the mower be sure to make sure that PTO shaft is installed correctly. Check out this thread. It may be a bad PTO shaft. But it never hurts to double check..
I don't know it the 2410 has a similar adjustment as 27-2910 models. Your 3 point may not be using its full movement. Check out this thread. Your linkage may not be raising all the way.
Thanks, you were right about the adjusting the connecting rod. That gets the mower up very close to the right height. It'll take me more practice removing the mower to do it quickly.
