Snow Using a FEL to plow snow?

/ Using a FEL to plow snow? #12
Duane-I used the FEL on my B7500 for my first time to remove snow today and it worked just fine. I don't have a rear blade and can't afford to go out and get a plow. It was a powdery snow and we only had 6"so I guess that made it somewhat easier. It takes some experimenting to get the right angle on the bucket but, once you get the hang of it it works real well. I have a 350' asphalt drive which took me about 21/2 hours and as far as I could tell I didn't do any damage to the surface.

RFischer & Duane, I have a U shaped gravel driveway, total straight length is maybe 200-250 feet. It took me 20 minutes to plow 4" with my rear blade.

Don't know how much snow you get in kentucky, but seems like the blade saves some time.

Being in New England, This is the third plowable snow we've had this year. I bought a used front plow & am going to build a bracket to attach it to the front of the tractor so I don't have to keep driving backwards.

Hazmat,
This is a Really Simple design for mounting a regular type plow into the bucket of a tractor. 2 pins, 1 chain and your hydrolic hose if so equiped and it's either on or off and then you still have your bucket attached for snow banks etc.
I am posative that anybody who can weld (I can't) could thow this bracket together in no time.

This is the way I will eventually attach mine when I stop procrastinating.

Mark,
Indeed I like your design /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif and looks like I'll be getting my crayons out for next year plan. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
