Using a tractor as a bulldozer

Hi, I'm a newbe, wanted to coment on driving in creek beds.when working with the county conservation district, we would sometimes drive or back down creekbeds, as much as 1000 feet, to get R-6 or R-8 rock where they needed it for bank eroision. Water was sometimes 1/2 way up the fuel tanks on our tri-axle trucks, it was alot of fun.

Welcome to TBN....would you please detail what you were doing and the tractors you were using? It seems somewhat extreme, IMO.

I say use your tractor!! Your dealer parts man needs the work and your dealer needs your money to stay in business! lol

I chipped a tooth on my front end ring gear doing something just like you want to do, and it ended up costing me a LOT of money!! These days you will NEVER see me treating using my tractor for a bull dozer or an excavator!

I now have a dozer and, more than one MFWD tractor and I even have a stream, when I need a job like yours down, I hire an excavator!!
