Kunitz B7800
I have a Kubota B7800 and want to acquire a 48” over seeder and am looking at the OS1548. Will the B7800 be ok with that over seeder or are there other recommendations by anyone. I am new to this, own the tractor and need to over seed around 10 acres. Thanks

In the pictures, I see them running it with a L3901, so that machine has around 30 HP to the PTO and your B7800 has 22 HP to the PTO. Both can lift about the same.

I would say it should work.

I run an Toro/Olathe Aerothatch 83 with a 93 model seeder on my B2620 twice, its a 48" slit seeder that weighs close to 1000lbs empty and can hold around 100lbs of seed. The B2620 is maxed out and can't fully lift it with a full seed box.
Power wise it can run it but if our clay soil is damp then I really have to slow down a lot.

According to tractor data your tractor has about 3hp more at the pto and the 3pt lifts just under 250lbs more at 24".

I would say that if you can even lift the 1548 with a full seed box you probably won't me happy going over 10ac with it and would feel like you're pushing the machine too much.

With the seeders there's a lot of weight pretty far out, this year I'll be using my Toro/Olathe behind a L3240 which handles it much better.

I'm not sure if they are still making them but Befco and Jacobson use to have some smaller/lighter 3pt seeders, and of course I've been very happy with my Toro Aerothatch 83/93 combo.

Also depending on soil conditions you can look at an Aera-vator, not a slit seeder but uses peg style tines to fracture the soil, the soil conditions have a little bit smaller window to work in compared to the slit seeders though.
