Using big rig diesel tank for gasoline ok?

As others have said, you will be ok using that tank for gasoline as long as you are sure it is clean. If using pump gas, use StaBil according to label. I have been using SeaFoam for the past couple of years and seem to have good results. I have also started using Avgas in my small engines. It stores forever and does not leave varnish in the carb. It is 100 octane Low Lead, so do not put it in your car or truck unless you want to replace an expensive catalytic converter. It is more expensive, but if you have a small airport around it will probably be cheaper there than the larger airports.

The main reason a heavy truck fuel tank is labeled "diesel only" is that there are enough moron company employees that would accidentally put DEF or some other fluid in there by mistake. The OEM's and the fleets have to factor the lowest rube that might be operating that truck. Same reason that many fleets will put "G.O.A.L" stickers on the outside rearview mirrors. That stands for Get Out And Look" You would think common sense would dictate a driver get out and check in a very tight area backing a 53 ft trailer to see how things are lining up. But alas, many don't, and the damage stats prove that out.

As do the barricades, light poles, etc., lining the outer edges of truck stop parking lots.

Too bad you didn't live closer. I have a 55 gallon side tank of an international gasser dump truck that's practically new. It's one of the tanks that also has a step built into it. The scrap metal place will take it but because it had gas in it they don't like to. I thought about turning it into a fuel caddy by adding wheels to it but I just don't use that much gas and it's a little too small for my diesel needs.

Has anyone installed the Honda heater in a new 2016 Honda Pioneer 1000 EPS side by side? Are there any tricks with the install to make it smooth?

Also looking for a 1998 Honda Foreman 450s for parts. I don't need one with a good engine or even tires. Just all the electrical wiring and shifting parts.

Stabil Marine is 1oz/10gal. And even a half gallon or so of diesel with 74gal of gasoline won't cause any damage. I play in the bass boat world and a lot of guys will drain their tanks (even if mixed 50:1 with oil) and dump it in their trucks, top off with fresh gas, and run with it. Myself included...
