As others have said, you will be ok using that tank for gasoline as long as you are sure it is clean. If using pump gas, use StaBil according to label. I have been using SeaFoam for the past couple of years and seem to have good results. I have also started using Avgas in my small engines. It stores forever and does not leave varnish in the carb. It is 100 octane Low Lead, so do not put it in your car or truck unless you want to replace an expensive catalytic converter. It is more expensive, but if you have a small airport around it will probably be cheaper there than the larger airports.
