Using clutch as a brake?

Okay, okay. I've gone back and forth several times regarding if this thread was real. But like they say: "If you see it on the internet it must be true!" As such I apologize and won't question your sincerity anymore. And it is an interesting thread.

wow, 2k is a game changer! I might seriously consider buying another tractor at that price. what did it do before you changed the clutch?

The clutch actually was functioning fine. However the splines in the pressure plate that drive the hydraulics stripped out so it had no hydraulics or pto. Once I split it the I found the throw out bearing was bad so I went ahead and fixed it all while I was in there.

Why buy another tractor just fix what you have then you know what you have.

Well if you are being serious then I to apologize if I offended you which from the looks of it nobody has offended you lol. Just kind of hard to tell sometimes if someone's being serious or not. Get some steel toe work boots. I don't drive mine without them. Plenty of hard sole to hit both brakes.

i venture to say this thread has gotten several good chuckles. i know i have. kinda like a good book you wont put down because you want to see what happens next. its the only thread that i have kept up to date on with this many posts.
