Using dyed diesel in a pickup truck

Yea, so are allot of things we do on a daily basis... Not saying its right, just adding an observation...</font>

Not wishing to make a Federal case out of it, but it is a Federal case that will be tried in Federal court, not a State or County court. And the intent of the original poster was to violate the law.

Telling a Federal Judge, "Yea, so are allot of things I do on a daily basis", would NOT contribute to your defense.....or sentencing.

I'm not arguing that, I completely agree with you.. I assume he knows the leagal ramifications and is OK with it.. I dont think its worth it, but some guys dont care..

The DEA took down a huge cocaine dealer in Miami last week simply becuase his Ford F-350 dually was being filled with dyed untaxed diesel fuel from his 175 foot personal yacht's fuel tanks for use on the public highways.

Thanks to the red dyed fuel, the Feds were able to board and bust the perp and confiscate all the coke, his yacht, his F-350, his bank account, and hopefully this doper and his crew will spend the rest of their lives behind bars in the Federal pen where there is NO PAROLE and lots of cute cell mates! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I don't run dyed fuel and any of my three on-road diesel vehicles. I've never had anyone check in the 7 years I've had them.

I don't run dyed fuel in anything on-road or off-road, so they can check me all they want whenever they want, but their time would be better spent busting the criminals that do violate the law.
