Using lifting tongs on bucket

I would rather have a hydraulic log grapple.

I have a rear aux line on my tractor. I've thought about building a small grapple to hang off the boom I have on my 3pt. I'm just not convinced that I'll get enough use out of it to make it worth the $$. Even if I could find a small hydraulic cylinder for free, the hoses and hyd fittings would likely run $200 or more.
