Using oxygen tank on its side

Ditto what others have said. o2 is gas so it dont matter. Propane is liquid.

Not hard to change valves on a forklift tank for whatever your needs.

Propane depends on how the tank is constructed. Look at the tanks on a fork truck.

.

Forklift Propane tanks used on its side have a hole for a pin that locates the pickup in the liquid space. Therefore the tank only produces liquid not vapor

Seems to be pretty much what he said, depends on the tank construction. Probably wouldn't want to set a 20 lb barbeque tank on its side and try to run a forklift.

Interesting internals since the vapor has a loop of pipe that keeps it in the vapor when oriented correctly on it's side, or vertical.
The liquid tube goes to the bottom "corner" so it's in liquid vertical or horizontal (correctly oriented) as well.
The ones I used to use had a gage in them too. It also would work inthe upright position or in the proper vertical position.

Wow guys. As always, thank you very very much.

About to embark on a home made Molenator. Don't want to haul an oxygen tank verticle and saw some guy draggling his along in a cart horizontally and just wanted to make sure that while a molenator is one step away from missing testicles, it doesn't come from having mis managed my tanks.
